PROYECTO'ACE ARGENTINA

Residency April 17 - May 5 2023

During the residency, I added to my art making skills by learning carborundum and aquatint print processes.  I increased my knowledge and skills with using monotype while experimenting with natural earth pigments.  I developed and extended current art practices of combining paper, fabric and stitch to produce textural works.

I gained insight and experience of presenting final artwork as an installation

The inspiration for the residency and the subsequent exhibition following the residency came from travelling through
North West Argentina - a region known as La Puna.  An area of stunning scenery that consists of salt lakes
and volcanoes (extinct)
